Street kids project
In Ouagadougou
Burkina Faso

.

An artist from Burkina made this statue for the association, just looking at the picture…

To help boys and girls
living in the streets of Ouagadougou
to go back to their families if possible,
and take their lives in their own hands.

The Association was founded in 1998, and started working with kids in 2002.
Since September 2005, we give accommodation to 25 kids in a specially built center. Next to this home, workshops help us to know better those who come directly from the street in the morning : their number varies from 30 to 45… they get a small allowance for their food, choose the activity they want, and we can slowly get used to one another, until they eventually accept to go back to their family.

Our team : 3 specialised educators, 2 trainees, 4 technicians for the workshops, 3 volunteers, a cook, and two watchmen.
